Computer upgrade?
Is it gud or any one had any problem who had vista on your PC... any sugesstion. ...thx
Answer:
Vista is great, i use it. But if i were upgrading, mine was pre-installed vista, i would wait a couple of months. There are some bugs but check your computer is compatible by downloading the Vista Upgrade Advisor, it tells you what and won't work in it.
vista is awesome to me but there is way to many bugs still microsoft is trying to get them out but there is still problems with drivers and things not compatable yet... if you want it yes you could upgrade it but personally i would wait 6mo to a year before you go get vista and the prices should drop a little bit also
Sure it's great. The only problem I've had is with iTunes, but Apple is working on releasing a new version. You can buy much cheaper OEM versions of Vista at www.Newegg.com. Be sure to compare your system with the requirements of Vista or you are likely to experience many problems.
yes it looks good but I would not upgrade at the moment unless you have too. As it is new there is quite a lot of software that wont work correctly with it.
I would wait a while
Unless your pc is under 12 month old forget it unless it is a top spec pc. You will need a minimum of 40 gig hard drive, 1mb ram and at least 128mb graphics. Some graphics cards do not support vista. For instance if you have onboard graphics by intel they only make 1 card that truely supports vista.
You can check your machine on the microsoft link below to see if its compatible.
My mate just upgraded his 3 month old laptop to vista and has had no problems.
windows vista is the latest and best operating system from microsoft, and although its been hugely critisised by many users, its actually the most stable windows released to this day
i have one p.c in the house that i upgraded to vista from xp and again i found the upgrade much easier than xp,and also much quicker, certain changes have been added to vista to make it install much quicker than xp
obviously theres going to problems(bugs, ect) in vista but this is normally down to the software used on vista, not vista itself
if i was to recommend a version of vista for you to purchase i would have to say "vista premium"
this is because premium is the cheapest of all four versions avalible for home users but it has all the new exciting additions that vista ultimate has, minus the few extra neworking and animated desktop extra
good luck
ive only ever heard complaints about vista - my freind got it recently and wants to install xp
Vista is a good o/s but there are still many teething problems with drivers and the such. For upgrades you need a top spec pc and even then I would give it another 6 months until MS have got all the bugs out.
