Will system recovery CD work, if I have installed new hardware?

I changed my CD writer hardware to a CD/DVD burner/writer. My question is I am thinking about doing a full system recovery using my system recovery CD? (just for the sake of confusion, I am not talking about using the system restore, I am talking about complete recovery back to factory default) Will the fact that I have changed this hardware matter? Thank you.

Answer:
It shouldnt matter. The only catch is that after you have did the recovery you will have to re-install any new drivers or programs for any new hardware that you have installed in the computer. So make certain you have the driver discs for such hardware ready to reinstall.
