It worked for a little bit on Ventrillo but then it just stopped. Its plugged in the right slot, my mic sounds are all the way up, its not muted, the little switch on the mic/headset itself is on, and I dont know whats wrong, The headset part works fine i can hear other people talk and music but my mic wont work. Sounds like your mic is broken. Test is using another PC to ensure it is not your sound card. Nothing worse than buying something you think is broken, but the problem lies elswhere.
If it works on another PC then the problem is your sound card.
in this case u need some hardware knowledge. just open the mike set where it connects to the headset and check whether the wire is ok. if not you need to solder it porperly.
there are possibilities of other software issues too. like if you are using MAC audio settings just check the volume and other settings off the same.
