How do you empty a flash drive?

could somebody help me empty my flash drive please

Answer:
The above will work, but if you want to keep the data on the drive, open the drive in Explorer, select all the files and/or folders, and right-click and drag to where you want to store them. Windows will ask if you want to move or copy, select move. This takes them from your flash drive to the storage location, removing them from the flash drive.
Right click it under My Computer and click Format. That will erase all the data that is on it.
go to my computer and right click.. your flash drive might have a formating opion.. that's one why to delete them.. or highlight what you want to delete.. then press delete on the keyboard
A flash drive is like any floppy or hard drive, you can either format the flash drive (My Computer -> right click the flash drive -> select "format") or you can "Cut" the files from the drive and "paste" them somewhere on your C: drive.
Click My Computer, Click on the F or G drive(or what ever drive that is your flash drive). Once your flash drive documents folder is open.Right click on each file and select delete or while holding down the shift key click on each file once to highlight each once all are highlighted release the shift key. Right Click on any file and select Delete.
just format it like other drives
if there is lock button on flash drive unlock it
