ok tolerate me make it clearer. the burner contained by my putor i use now is possed by the devil & i'm too cheap to buy a strange one! soooooooo i wanna yank this one outta my antediluvian pc that works fine (the burner) will i stipulation a new driver or can a use a window generic driver ?
Answer:
Most cd burners will work with the generic drivers that come next to windows. Just hook it up and see. Before you do draw from the model number off the spinal column of it and if you do need drivers compaq or whoever made the drive should enjoy them on their website.
you'll need specific drivers because it is a burner.
devout luck.
hi
if your using XP, your driver will probably download autimatically through windows update
or shift on the compaq website :)
