I've be getting this message "Your sound card doesn't support hardware buffering". I'm running Windows XP Pro. I hold a Creative Sound Blaster PCI card. It also tells me equal thing next to the built in card on the motherboard. I used this same card on a Dell computer and never have that problem. I have also notice a drop in the feature of the sound surrounded by videos and some mp3s. Can anyone abet?
Answer:
Start by going to Creative and downloading the newest drivers and applications for your nouns card. Sometimes windows uses "generic" drivers which effect issues like you are experiencing.
update drivers or look online to label sure the right ones installed are correct
try updating the drivers. Change the card to a different PCI Slot. If it does not resolve your problem the windows might be corrupt.
Go to the Creative/Sound Blaster network site and look in the Support/Downloads clause for the latest XP drivers and install them.
Also, did you turn stale the "built in" sound card?
It may be that the "built in" and the PCI card own some conflicts.
Hope this helps.
