My friend gave me a burnt a linux cd doing something i dont and if the cds in its linux if its out then its?

windows but the internet doesnt work wirelessly i have to plug in a internet cable how do u wirlesly conect

If you know which version of Linux your friend gave you, go to that website (Ubuntu, Knoppix, Redhat, Mandrake, etc.) and look in the Wiki or forums for wireless connections. In the meantime, you might find what you need in this tutorial (left column under Wireless Howto):
