Graphic card?

I have a 6800 Geforce graphic card. I want to change it to 7800. Will the computer know that I changed the card to another?

Answer:
best would be to uninstall the hardware as you do uninstall software.
restart your system and then reinstall the new hardware.

Last thing you want is conflicts with older newer drivers.
thats a real serious issue with ATI more than NVIDIA, but best be safe and methodical.

It might just work if you remove and install, but then it might not.
i say 50/50
yeah!
The computer will know that you changed cards. To minimize conflicts you should un-install the 6800 drivers, shut down your computer, remove the 6800; install the 7800, turn on the computer and install the 7800 drivers.
