Ok, so the other year I tried to install a few mp3 splitter programs. They didnt really work, so I uninstalled them, but my speakers wont work. Im on XP home, and my dads profile thingo still has nouns, but mine doesnt. I tried system resotre, and volume control properties but nothing. When i put the speakers loud, i can hear that 'silent' hubbub, but no sound will come out of them. Any thinking?

Hi there,
It sounds approaching you may have removed the drivers for your sounds card by mistake.
Go to Start, My Computer RIGHT CLICK, jump to Properties, Hardware Tab, Then the Device Manager, RIGHT CLICK on Sound, Video and Game Controller, Click on "Scan for Hardware Changes".
Then follow the instructions to install the diver, Make sure you have it hunt on auto. (it should have the word "recommended" subsequent to it)
Then you should be all set.
