Which is the Best External USB DVD 16x Write Speed?
I want the fastest speed possible on DVD+r disc's
Thanks
Answer:
16x is the speed, adjectives 16x DVD writers are the same speed, it refers to individual 16 times as fast as ordinary playback speed for video (or audio for CDs). That's why the same drive will read/write DVDs at a lower x than CDs, they are in truth read/writing at about impossible to tell apart bit rate, but video uses more bits than audio.
The fastest non-16x ones I can currently find are 20x, they should write a dual layer DVD (if it's a dual branch writer) in 6 minutes (120/20=6), or a single branch DVD in 3 minutes (60/20=3).
