USB ports- english to american..?
Answer:
as windows and mac are both american i would expect them to be universal cant see why they would change them for different countries
USB= Universal Serial Bus, it should be fine unless the PC in question has driver difficulties.
No USB stands for Universal Serial Bus, it is a standard interface system - so USB from anywhere in the world should be compatible.
universal ... same in any country! It's a standard protocol!
Universal Serial Bus is exactly that - universal. It is an international standard like most of your PC's other i/o ports.
BTW, don't worry either about compatability between USB2.0 and USB1.1. They are compatable and interoperable - the only difference is speed. They will work together but a USB2 device will run slower than its maximum if connected to a USB1.1 device.
BTW2, most international camera manufacturers produce exactly the same machine for different sales areas and simply rebadge it for local marketing purposes. For example a Canon EOSxxxD is sold in the States as a RebelXTxxx.
The only thing you might have to watch is to make sure the camera's battery charger is universal ie accepts 240v ac input as well as 110v, and you may, if you get an American charger have to buy an adapter to plug it into a UK 13 amp socket. A shaver socket adapter for 99p will sort it.
