USB firm drive to ATA desktop drive?
Answer:
If the bios isn't detecting it, later it may have issues (assuming you enjoy cabled it up properly.
If repeatedly trying to get it to detect doesn't work, try forcing the settings surrounded by (specify to the bios the number of heads/cylinders/etc), and see what happens.
If that doesn't work, try the Clear ESCD setting surrounded by the bios, and reboot.
If that doesn't work, put it back within the usb case and use it as a usb drive :)
You requirement to format the drive, also be sure you make it the slave drive if it will be sharing the controller next to another device
Why would you remove the HDD from the USB casing?? Why not newly use it as a USB hard drive? Internal Hard Drives are so cheap i dont see a aim to do this at all.
Maybe try creating a primary wall first then format. Paragon or hedge magic is correct. Also you can use the fdisk command. Fujitsu MHT2040AT isn't that a laptop hard drive?

Make sure that you own your jumper (i.e. the little plastic thingy connecting two of a series of useless pins on the side of the firm drive) set to slave (if you want it just for storage purposes) or master (if you want it to be your basic hard drive).
