How to install a Web Cam?

I hav a Web Cam and has also Downloaded the drivers. I just Wanna know how to install it? pls explain it in detail like step by step. as i am not too good with computers

Answers:
Firstly plug the webcam into the computer, if using windows xp it should say new hardware found. Then it would give you the option off searching for the device drivers for the webcam. When searching for the device drivers, either put in the CD that came with the webcam or else choose a destionation off where you drivers would have been downloaded to on your computer.

After installing the device drivers, now just install the software used to control the webcam. If you have already connected the webcam and the Add new hardware box doesnt appear. You can go to start, control panel, click classic view on left off screen, then click Add New Hardware.

Hope this helps. Regards,
If you have the cd provided with the webcam just use that.

If you have downloaded or only have the drivers then you must firstly plug in the camera while the pc is on. A message will come up saying "new device detected" or "searching for driver". If windows doesnt find the driver it will ask you to search the recomended drives or manually install it.
I would click try to search if not you will have to browse it to the location you have the driver in eg. d: or c:
For all these steps you will only use the mouse. so dont worry about typing something wrong
