Graphics card?
Answers:
The only difference preformance wise between an identical AGP and PCIe Card is that the PCIe card can recieve and send data to the rest of the computer faster, something that is rarely needed anyways since AGP is usually fast enough (Though a slight preformance difference can be seen in the more advanced games).
Yes, PCI-Express is fairly new technology. PCI-E does outperform AGP, but not by much. PCI-E is much more open-ended and will lead to new technologies far surpassing AGP and PCI-E. I would still recommend PCI-E, just because AGP is slowly being fazed out.
EDIT: I have done a little research for you and have modified my statement as such.
ok to answer correctly I need the specs from both because YES pci-E is newer BUT it depends on the cards specs i mean if u have a agp card with a memory speed of say 650mb and clock speed of around the same and he has a memory speed of say 450 and clock speed of same than ur card will outperform his...its not all about just the ram but about SPEED!!!!.memory speed and clock speed .thats how fast ur card actually performs.so just looks at the total speed of the card vs who has more ram or agp or pci...go for speed man and u cant go wrong
