Can the usb ports on a ps2 be used for mp3 players?

Answers:
No, because there is no software on the ps2 that will detect it and allow anything to play.
To charge them, probably, to interact with them, probably not.

You would probably need to MOD your ps2 and install new software to interact with each other.

What exactly are you trying to do by hooking them together?
it all depends on what the kind of mp3 player it is, you can try it but dont force it or you will ruin one or the other.
and just as an fyi the psp is an mp3 player in itself
