How long does a mouse pad last(tought plastic ones)? and how long does a touch pad lasts?

Answer:
It depends on how heavily they're used.
Personally, I've never had a mousepad wear out on me, I stopped using them two years ago because optical mice don't need them but before that the last one I was using was still in very good condition after 5 years of use.
I've also never had a touchpad wear out on me, but what I've heard is 3 years is good for a heavily used touchpad, since my oldest touchpad is right around 3 years old I expect it may wear out soon.
