Is it worth the money to add 1gb more to my computer, currently i have 1GB,,willi see any improvement.?

I m not a heavy gamer, or do much photo or music editing. I usually use it for excel, word and surf the net

If you are satisfied with the performance - let it be. You certainly are not doing anything that is memory intensive.

However, with the price of memory so cheap - it certainly is a way to increase performance.

You will see a minimal difference for just doing those type of things. You might see a very slight increase in starting up and when opening a few programs, but other than that it won't help you at all. You'll be wasting a lot of money.

Many people say it's better to have more RAM to be faster, but that's when you're doing lots of things with the computer that are constantly changing, such as editing, games, creating music, and watching 3 movies at the same time... for some reason.
You probably won't, but if you have DDR2 memory, it would be worthwile to upgrade as it is dirt cheap at the moment. Then, if a few months down the road you decide to edit photos, or fire up Counter Strike, your machine will be screaming.
