My computer automatically reboots when logitech camera is connected?

as long as logitech "messenger" web camera is connected Windows XP doesn't finish coming up and continuesly reboots it self.
when cam is plugged after the computer came up it seems fine
i believe it has something to do with the sound card MSI VIA. when sound is disbled it finishes startup.

latest drivers from both are used, also did a windows update.

any ideas?

Answers:
there is an hardware that is sharing the same irq with the webcam . Unless you know the hardware and disable it .
Contact the tech support for help.
connect the webcam whilst the PC is off then boot. There may be a problem the the current in which case you must replace the Power Source box at the back of your desktop PC.
Then there's a sure a Hardware Conflict between the camera and the OnBoard Sound chip.

Just a quick way would be to go to Microsoft Update and Check for any available updates.. If yes.. Update your PC and then give a talk with MSI/Logitech, otherwise they are going to tell you the same thing ToDo.
