My pc takes 3mins to start right from the giving password to opening of win explorer same with the shutingdown
whats the reason >no prgms in start up

First off, you need more RAM. the average is 512, and thats really not even much. Many people are turning to have 1GB, that usual of what computeres now a days come with. and to check up if soemthing is really starting up, click on start>run>type in: msconfig>start up tab> uncheck the un needed ones
