Building a computer?

Upon advice from this community I am going to build my own computer instead of buying one. I have assembled the parts but before I place my order I was hoping someone could look over the specs and tell me of any compatibility issues or different parts that may work better or be cheaper for the same effect

I would recommend a different setup based on an Intel CPU. This system uses DDR2 memory and in general uses newer technologies. I have priced it out on Newegg and it the total came to $754 after rebates.

This system uses parts that are known as being great for overclocking, which you can take advantage of if you are comfortable doing it. I believe that this would give you a much better value for your money, and is a more future proof system, since AMD have already retired the 939 socket.
Did you do deep research and prices on all these parts. If you do then you have no problem. But you should what you would like do with your computer. That what you should ask your self frist beside buy the parts and build it then go around that computer use not the user.
Well I am more than sure no one here has the time to actually SHOP for you... but in any case here is one piece of advice...

Wherever you buy those parts from... get them from newegg, it is the cheapest source for individual computer components...

I'm not sure but do you really need a 600watt PSU?
Also, you forgot the mouse, keyboard, and monitor unless you have them already.
DVD drive?
Impressive system you are going to build there.
My thoughts are to make sure the RAM is the right type for the board, I am guessing it might use something faster than 3200. Some form of CD/DVD drive? Finally, whatever HD you get, don't buy a Maxtor drive.
Good job spec'ing it out. Looks like a pretty good gaming system. What OS are you going to use?
for a gaming system, i suggest you spend a little more for the 8800gts

as a caution note: Ultra PSU's used to have a bad ring to it (i dont' know if they have higher build quality now) but they used to have problems with "blowing up" and critically damaging all of the computer compoenets connected to it.

otherwise, everything looks good for an $800 system.
That is cheap. Probably you could have payed like 1200 if you bought the assembled one. Nice job. But I am not sure about the compatiblity...but I know one thing...you forgot the screw. Buy the right one. and also where the hell is hte CD rom.
You forgot to get an optical Drive.

Choose one from Plextor (BEST) or Lite-ON (GOOD)

and try to get a floppy drive. I know there ancient and people don't want to get them but just in case.

Everything else looks fine
Alright, first of all this is not bad but there are some simple change that can save you some money and give you better performance

Processor- Go with socket AM2, 939 is getting out phased and the ram for it is cheaper, DDR2 Ram

Motherboard - Stick with ASUS I own one, their great reliable boards not to mention the have easy overclocking features, on the other hand, go with socket AM2, its newer and the RAM is cheaper, a friend of mine bought 2 gigs of DDR2 for almost the same price as my 1 gig of PC3200

Hard drive - Fine, its a hard drive the never fail

Power Supply - Don't screw around here, this is the life of your system, go with a popular brand name like thermaltake coolmax or raidmax

Sound Card - If you've only got a pair of speakers its not worth, ASUS have pretty good onboard anyway

GRAPHICS CARD - This is a very brooad department, you picked a good card, actually its a great card, but im an ATI user, take a look at the X1900GT by conect 3D it's pretty much the same one as you picked out but cheaper, actually 40 bucks cheaper than when I bought it, it runs everything maxxed even FEAR and i can just about max Oblivion

Oh and one more thing, you might want to pick up a dvd burner or some sort of cd drive
