Answers:
Yep just put in the windows disk and retart your pc.
I hope you have you pc manual so you can use it for help in following the install.
You should sellect reinstall windows or install windows and then go from there.
It's been a while since I have had to do it so I'd need my book too.
Yes, a wipe is called a "format". You can then re-install the operating system over the newly formatted partition.
You need to boot of the windows disk. It should ask you first where you want to install to and than if you want to format the h.d. After you format the hard drive and do the new install it should give you a nice clean fresh install.
What you need to do is have your computer boot from the CD. I don't know what computer you have but on my thinkpad you hold the F1 key before you turn on the computer and then continue to hold till it takes you to the boot-up menu. Once you have the computer booting from the CD it will ask you how you want your partitions. What you want to do is delete all the existing ones so you have a blank hard drive then continue the installation process. Doing all this should work because I have done it my self many times.
I have the same problem, and this may be the hard way but I did searches...1st videos ( most space) and when you run your cursor over it and/or r-click on it you'll find out where it is located (you'll need to save this search or write these down or minimize the search window so you can go here and there and delete any duplicates you have. If you've copied rather than move files then you'll have alot of dup's. do this for about an hour with your vid/music/ and also try cleanup on your utilities program under system and you'll come up with programs that take alot ofspace that you rally don't need.
Also try putting all your photos on one photo program and delete the rest...maybe put some on cd just to be safe..also before you do anything do a complete backup and get everything on cd backup...just to be safe...whether you do as Ive said or opt for the entire re-format you'll want to back up everything you don't want to lose...just to be safe:)
with 2000 it's a little complicated.

If you created multiple partitions, you may actually need the Win98 boot floppy, and assuming your computer still checks A: drive first, you need to run a:\fdisk to:

1) delete logical partition(s)
2) delete extended partition(s)
3) delete primary partition

You can also use DBAN
http://dban.sourceforge.net/

That will make your HDD like it was blank. Then you can reload Win2k from scratch.

I suggest Op Sys on C:\ drive, storage on E:\ (or whatever successive drive letter). Make sure you have enough space on C: for progs and defrag (>25% free space).

Good luck
