Portable hard drive?

i have bought a portable hard drive...in accident i didnt notice the hard drive is for windows me/xp, but im using wondow vista..is there a way that i still can use the hard drive in wondow vista? or the only way is to return it to the store and change another one.

Answers:
You can use it in Vista. It maybe possible that that disk was manufacture before Vista came to market. Since Vista is Plug and Play Operating system, it will recognize and work with your drive.
When you say portable harddrive I assume you mean USB harddrive? The harddrive is not operating system specific and you should be able to use it just fine. You may have to reformat once in windows vista.
The drive was packaged before Vista thats all it should work fine (Vista can access most external drives that are XP compatable)
