Computer clock problem?

My comp clock is an hour slow from time to time. The computer is like 4-5 yrs old but I am on a network and when others login there clock is fine. I will change the clock to the correct time and 20 min later it goes back. Any suggestions?

With a computer this old, there is a battery for the clock and BIOS. The battery might be dead. Change it and see it that helps
There is a battery on the mother board that needs to be changed, this is the reason you have a time lose problem. If you don't change the battery soon when you start the computer it will go into the BIOS setup because the CMOS has lost power and the system has reset to default.

Make sure you do/dont have daylight savings time set. All depends on which state you live, all states do not observe DST. Right click on clock, choose adjust time, then timezones and make sure DST is checked
1) double click on the time in the taskbar.. go to the 'time zone' tab, and make sure the computer is in the right time zone and that you automatically adjust for daylight savings time

2) go to the 'internet time' tab. make sure its set to auto sync, and knowing your in the right time zone, click on the update now button..

after that, you shouldnt have any time issues
