Why does my pc make quiet beep noises?
Answers:
might wanna visit your comp's manufacturer's site for download's of driver's. see if they have one for your bios. if it's beeping there's a reason. unless it only happen's when you turn comp on.
You Bios, causes the beeps.
does it turn's on ? if yes forget about it, if no, it might be ram .
open case and re insert ram ...
There could be 1000 reasons for that. In my experience the most like;y reason is that you are overheating. To see if this is the case go to your BIOS and go to the advanced settings (sorry I can't tell you more about it but every one is different), look for temperature setting and tell it to automatically turn off if it goes above 80 degrees C.
Could be that little beep in the back of your head and not the computer.
hmmmm
If you're computer POSTS (basically, turns on) it's not the RAM. It wouldn't be the BIOS either, it would be the CMOS. The BIOS wouldn't be initialized yet.
How quiet are the beeps? If it's the ram, it's basically a loud screech. Is it coming from your speakers, or from the computer box?
If it's from the box it's probably a motherboard thing, in which case it's most likely a buffer issue (e.g., you're holding too many keys down, a joystick is having a button held down, etc). If it's from the speakers, it MIGHT be the buffer thing, but you can't be certain, possibly a program.
Before panicking, go to Start/settings/control panel/sounds and see if you have it set to beep after some particular action. Hopefully you can uncheck something which will quiet things down for you. If that doesn't do it, look at your diagnostic programs to check what is health your computer is in. Also, www.PCPitstop.com will do a free evaluation of your computer. You might find some tweaks that really improve things for you. Aren't computers wonderful? Good luck.
