i would not advise buying off auction sites... as you don't know if they are genuine till after you've paid/it arrives

u'd find out soon enough if you go to upgrade windows though.

Your local retailer/computer shop, or any reputable online store should still be selling them.
Comp USA
office max, office depot, best buy, circut city, or amazon
Definately www.ShoreLineXL.com can get up to 50% off retail Price
anywhere that sells them.

try ebay or in the back of micromart!
windows xp disks are avalible from most computer stores worldwide, however you may be better buying it on-line as you can save money this way
also you will be better buying a o.e.m(original equipment manufacturer)copy,as this can save you alot of money, however o.e.m copys dont have as much support and warranty as normall full or upgrade copys
the cheapest copy of windows xp home i have seen online is http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc... is a bargain at the price and will give you a genuine copy of xp
good luck mate!
Try advertising in your local newsagents window for a used version, I had a used XP op sys for 3yrs. and had no probs, or you can buy a used hard drive very cheaply and copy XP from this to your system, I have bought lots of these from schools in the last few years.
