Can PAL and NTSC DVD's be played on a 1.66GHz Mac Mini disk drive?

1.66GHz Mac Mini, the first choice Mac Mini on the Apple Store.

any hardware OR software player is going to have a set number of times u can switch region until it locks into one or the other ... usually 4 or 5 times ... the exception of course would be if they are region free dvds ...
it depends on what region they r and also what framerate u have set..see NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) is the format that is used mainly in North America, Japan and Taiwan. PAL (Phase Alternate Lines) is the format suited for VHS players in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe, and most other countries.So it really depends on the unit but if ur saying mini disk as in the smaller disks then no i dont think the disk at all will fit regardless of it being either format

Also, your CPU speed is not a factor. 1.66Ghz is sufficient.
