I would like to have this PC be able to easily handle multi-media. I mainly use it for watching movies, burning DVD's and CD's. Then I plan on playing games. Probably the most demanding game I would play would be WoW. And also i would like to have Windows Media Center on it as the OS.

I can recommend ebay for the best price on used parts but for new parts newegg.com has the best prices and inventory on the web. AMD cpus are more affordable than intel and some are very good. I recommend Intel but try to avoid celeron cpu's. You will need a reasonable video card too.
