How to install a graphics card?
Answers:
need the exact model of card ... is it pci or pci express ...
If your PC has an onboard graphic card, you can still add the card that you purchased. Open the case, and install the card into one of the empty slots in the PC. Depending on what model of card you purchased, it may only fit in one special slot in the case.
Once the card is installed, move the monitor from where it is currently connected to the the new connector on the card. Boot the PC.
Run the software CD that comes with the card to finish configuring it.
The old grpahics card will still be in your computer, Since it is soldered on to your system board, you can not remove it. But Windows will use the new instead.
Since the old card is there, it is possbile to attach a second monitor to card, and then configure Windows to display an expended desktop on that monitor, so you can see two different displays on the one PC.
if your computer has an onboard video card, you have to disable it in system bios first before you install the new one or you might run into grave problems.
Call Dell or contact them via support in there website, explain your problem to them, they have the best solution for you and the most reliable source
Good luck
