Where is the media card slot on a year-old Dell Desktop?

Helping a friend by phone and we have HP. Thanks LH
He says it is not next to his USB ports.

Answers:
As a general rule of thumb, something that has to be external and be on the case, such as a media card reader, is not on his laptop if he cannot find it. However, all he has to do is scan the sides of the case (not the bottom) for a rectangular slit that is about an inch long, maybe a little more depending on what type of card it reads, and about 5 millimeters high. If it isnt near the USB, tell him to look near the airports and it is most likely on the side.
Ask him his computer's model number. This should help greatly.
