Why does it take 2 tries to turn off my pc, and how do I fix it?
Answers:
perhaps u installed a new program that takes a long time to close when u attempt to shut down the computer
in the task manager , check processes , and see what process is making the problem , and u'll be just fine.

I am not sure but If you dont find a ans from Anyone here I can suggest you one thing ,
You can restore your computer to what it was few weeks back when you said that everything was normal.I hope you know how to reset it to that old setteting,If not let know I will help you.
It is most likely because you have processes running when you try to turn off the system. Before trying to turn off make sure no programs are active.
it may not actually take two trys, it may just take a really long time and your just too impatient to wait (no offense), i've had that problem on older computers before.
reinstall ur operating system
If you're running a program such as "Ad aware - Ad watch or System Mechincs" or another program that monitors what can be added to your registry then you might have this problem ...
I had this problem using them so I disable Ad Watch...Joe
