I own an emacine t1742. The red power reading light comes on but the computer does not.?

I own a light on the power button and the disc rom, but the computer will not start. I replaced the power supply. I had the antiquated on plugged up and made the mistake of unplugging the 20 pin connector with the power on. What do I obligation to check now?

Video card problem.
Mistake #1: E-machines.
Mistake #2: You already know in the region of taking the 20 pin connector on the MB.

Now, can you hear the HD spin up when you turn it on?
Make sure everything is connected (power wise).
On the MB when you power up, there should be rather green LED that comes on. If it is there and the processor disciple comes on, you are ok there. If not the MB have a problem that may or may not be caused by Mistake #2. Replace MB.

If adjectives that comes on and still does not come on, can you hear any audible "beeps" in a series? Including problems next to memory, video, mb etc.

Beep codes will give you information as okay if there are any.

Next check the HD. Make sure it is connected properly. If adjectives above checkout and the HD is not spinning, replace the HD.
