A friend of mine taking Computer Engineering told me that MSI is not worth your money and Gigabyte or Corsair is far better. If you want to store loads of file its better to have a 320GB HDD (the price is not that expensive). As for RAM, if you want performance, use DDRII SDRAM (or there's a new DDR3 RAM-from Corsair) but its not cheap, on the other hand DDRII or SDRAM is less expensive and less performance. When using AMD Athlon its better to pair it up with ATI RADEON (the system will be more stable). As for OS, if you want more security and style then I suggest Windows Vista but I personally prefer XP because of some of the old software are not Vista compatible.
I hope this help.
power supply is too much, but i bet you're getting a bad brand

450w from a good brand might be enough, the rest sounds alright (not top end, but also not a huge price), as long as there's no gaming
edit: ram needs to be more specific, check OCZ's or Corsair's models
i take it you got DDRII ram for that mobo and not ddr?

Better make sure you have a good casing for cooling solutions. You don't want a computer to overheat; it can cause performance reduction. Get casings that have a side fan for heat to escape. CPU fans are optional, but you probably won't be needing one anyways.
Well you haven't mentioned gaming at all , so why spend the money on Windows?
Ubuntu Linux will do everything you have listed and is completely free , no virus or trojan problems EVER , and will run on most hardware.
In fact , my internet machine which is on all the time eg 24 hours a day , 7 days a week , runs Ubuntu.
Only using a 3Ghz P4 with 512MB of ram and onboard video.
Hasn't been off for over 6 months now and never slows down.
Try Linux and save yourself some money!
