I have installed the Sims 2 plus various expansion packs, yet when I try to install the seasons expansion it will not install. I have checked my computer for space and there is plenty, I have done the disc clean up and defrag function. I did have all the sims2 plus the seasons on my computer then I had problems and had to reformat. The seasons is new. I have also downloaded the updates for the video card. My computer is windows xp home edition and is Intel. Has anyone else had this problem and did you resolve it?

I contacted EA and they swaped my game for free. It was fine then.

if the disc is an original it might be scratched, this could be enough to affect the installation. try cleaning the disc, and have a look for any scratches. if this doesn't work you can try taking the disc back and exchanging it for another, as it could be a physical problem with the disc.
The same think happened to me. What I did was install the expansion pack that was before it, then install seasons. It worked for me, hopefully it works for you.
