try using Computer B with only computer As hard drive in it.
If that also fails try using the power supply on B with the computer in A (dont mess with swapping them out of cases, just lead the power supply wires from B into A's components, like the motherboard and Harddrive.
Did you make the necessary connector change to make the H/D from computer A a 'slave' disc, before hooking it up in computer B?
Hello; The files that are associated directly with the Windows user account are closed for protection to outsiders, trying to get in to that account, from outside.
Try setting the hdd to primary, and booting the new computer with that hdd. Then you'll be able to acess that account. As a security feature, I generally move the "my documents" folder to another portion of the drive with the OS on it, or another physical drive altogether. For example, my "my documents" folder is actually the temp005 folder on my D drive...
