What does it mean when your pc suddenly says that it has no audio devices (XP)?
Answers:
Try reinstalling the device drivers and reboot the PC.
If you have a PCI card like a soundblaster check to make sure it is firmly seated in the pci slot.
Another possibilty is if you recently installed some upgrade and it is using the same memory as the soundboard. This would result in an IRQ error.
Go to device manager - right click My Computer go to properties - Hardware - Device manager - if any componenets have yellow exclamation points or red question marks, etc, they are not installed correctly.
It most likely indicates your audio drivers are not longer operational and you need to re-install the drivers. If that doesn't work your sound card may have stopped working and you are in need of a new sound card.
either your card is dead or the drivers are corrupted
no audio device is connected, check your audio connection if its properly connected.
if you didnt physically disconnect any speakers you have on it maybe the driver for the sound card got disabled somehow what you have to do is click on start>>>right click my computer>>>click properties>>>click the hardware tab>>>click on device manager>>>go down to sound video and game controllers if it looks normal thats not the problem however if it has an exclamation point higlight it and on the top under the help button you can see some icons go the farthest to the right if it says disable im not sure what to do.but if it says enable then click it once this should enable the driver if it is disabled hope that helps
