The power supply of my newly built computer has worn out. Why?
Please give an idea why the power supply goes bad.
By the way, i bought another new one but of another brand
Is there a problem of my motherboard or connection?
Pls take note that ive used the computer already for 2 days.
This time i installed new power supply with another brand and the computer goes ok.
Will it not be destroyed again?
Pls help...

sometimes power supplies just break cause they are c**p, happends all the time, i just bought a ps a month ago and it had a broken fan right out the box. You just have to go on the brand name and hope to god you bought a working ps. sounds like the one you have works so good for you, no worries.
Should've got a mac!
Power supply units (PSU) have a life span just like any other component. Nothing lasts forever. For PSUs the "life span may be measured in MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and should be at least 100,000 hours. Higher MTBF ratings are preferable for longer device life and reliability. Quality construction consisting of industrial grade electrical components and/or a higher speed fan can help to contribute to a higher MTBF rating by keeping critical components cool thus preventing the unit from overheating." *
If the PSU is a cheap one, then the life span is usually shorter. If it does not have adequate power to handle all of the computer components, it may not even work or may burn out even more quickly. The reason they are cheaper is simply because they use inferior components. PSUs generate heat and if such components as the heat sinks and fan(s) overheat then they can burn out, short circuit or sometimes even catch on fire. They can also damage other components connected to it which can be ever more costly.
Therefore, I always recommend that people buy a high quality PSU with adequate power to handle everything that depends on it including any external USB periphreals. Such brands as Antec, CoolerMaster, EnerMax, Fortron, Thermaltake or Zalman for the most part have good reputations for using quality parts. They cost more, but are well worth it.
