I am really a Mac fan all the way. I have used both PCs and Macs and in the end the Mac won. Draw back is that they are a bit on the pricey side for the initial purchase, but then they do not require a lot of the upkeep purchases I have had to make for my PCs.
If you are a college student you can get a "school" discount from Mac too.
