Activiate vista?
what does this mean? i install vista from the original vista DVD.
do i have to activate using the internet?

its easy it means you have to register vista on net so that it confirms it is genuine and you get to download latest stuff from windows site have fun and yes find the product key which must have came with the new CD ans use it for registration OK!!
You must have left the check box for automatic activation ticked when you installed Vista - it should connect to Microsoft servers automatically and activate the operating system for you. If you had left the box unticked, you would have had 30 days to activate; and using a well-known registry hack, you could have extended the pre-activation period to 120 days. Useful if you are testing hardware/software configurations on a new machine. C'est la vie.
