Why do My Desktop settings keep changing whenever I turn my computer on?!?
It was fine for, I dunno, months, and suddenly, for no apparent reason, my desktop picture is just a black screen, and my screensaver is the classic Windows XP symbol instead of the My Pictures Slideshow I'd set it to be.
Does anybody know how I can fix this problem? 'Cause It's REALLY getting on my nerves!!

If its a work computer, your IT department can alter your settings without your knowing and set it so its that way whenever you start your pc. They could be making all pc's uniform. If its a home pc, check for spyware of some sort.
Yr computer isnt saving the settings.
Do you have any software to check for spyware and viruses? If so run it. But only do it on your own system
Have you tried resetting it- right click on desktop and properties? If the pic you chose was being hosted by another server they may have removed the picture and therefore your pic is gone.
