More processor speed and how much?
thank you for any help
Answers:
you have read it wrong it only needs a P4 1.8 processor
Minimum system requirements :
Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista
DirectX 9.0c
Pentium 4 1.8 GHz, Athlon XP 1800+ CPU
512 MB RAM
100% DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card with 64 MB RAM,
Vertex Shader 1.1 and Pixel Shader 1.3 support
(Pixel Shader 2.0 recommended)
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti or better
ATI RADEON 9500 or better
100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Youll be able to run it
What game NEEDS 4.18ghz to run? I guess some flashy games might recommend that, but it certainly won't be REQUIRED.
Install the game, I'm sure it'll run on your PC as it is.
if its a laptop, you can't upgrade it.. if its a desktop and the chip isn't soldered to the motherboard, maybe you can.
depends on the motherboard on the pc.. you need to look at the makers site.. or use something like >
http://www.filehippo.com/download_everes...
maybe that will show u the motherboard inside the pc
http://www.ebuyer.com
but they do an acer x2 3800 for £300 =) , so maybe the cpu is like £100? might as well buy a new pc.. but I did add a far better gfx card to that pc.
It all depends on what motherboard you have got.
1) As far as I'm aware celerons only go up to 3.46Ghz so if you've only got a celeron compatable motherboard the you need a new processor and mobo (motherboard).
2) Do you know what format you have? ATX, MicroATX, BTX?
3) What processors is your motherboard capable of supporting? If they can only support celerons then you'll need a new m/board as well.
4) AGP or PCI-E(x16)
Let me know what you've got and I'll be in a better position to help you
Col
if its a custom build you can OC the processor (over clock)
Will your motherboard support the processor speed your looking to upgrade to? You don't know do you, so if I were you I steer clear of carrying out an upgrade myself. If you pay someone else to do it it will likely be expensive.
