New mac os 10 crashing?

My mac that is about a year old started crashing shortly after I turn it on. I dont know what to do. As Im typing I know its about to crash on me.

Answers:
Pay no attention to the PC weenies. Their parents hated them and bought them useless PCs.

Boot off of the installation disk, open Disc Utility and do a permissions repair.

If that doesn't solve the problem, get a copy of Disc Warrior and boot off of that, do a directory rebuild.

You can also do a clean reinstall of the system from booting off of the installation discs.

Something possibly got moved in your system. Does anyone else have access to your machine?
Gromit, I agree. Just because they can't afford a Mac they bash on them. That's like saying a Lamborghini isn't as good as a Honda, but they know damn well if they could afford that Lambo it'd be a different story. To answer the question, repair permissions but it sounds like you have a bad install. I would save all your files as tedious as it may sound, and then reinstall the OS.
