Hard drive ?
Answers:
Most pre-built computers (like your Gateway, and like Dell and HP) are equipped with ATA hard drives, as opposed to SCSI drives.
The hard drive you're looking at is an ATA drive and therefore will be compatible with your current setup.
If you'll be using this hard drive as your primary drive (the one that has Windows on it) then you'll need to install windows on this drive once you connect it, and you'll also need to install the driver for the rest of the hardware in your computer.
If you don't want to do that, what I would recommend is that, if you buy this hard drive, you should connect it as a secondary drive. You can do this by simply leaving the current hard drive in your computer and hooking the new one up to an empty jack on the hard drive's wire (but make sure that you configure the pins at the edge of the hard drive and set them to "secondary") the hard drive should then show in your "My Computer" folder.
Good luck!

This harddrive will work fine. Goodluck!
Yes, it will work.
well, there's no compatibility problems.
You only have to check 2 points:
1 - The 200 Gb memory that came with the configuration is in only 1 physical hard disk device and not on 2 separate hdd
2 - Your motherboard provides 2 Serial ATA (SATA) ports for an extra SATA device (you can check the motherboard notice or just give me the reference i can check for you)
The device you're trying to buy is a great purchase
Edited:
I just saw the previous answer. If you're trying to install XP on this new device, is a bit more complicated:
while installing XP, when you see the blue screen, keep tapping F6 (XP consider SATA as a SCSI device) and put a floppy disk with the drivers. Without the floppy disk controller it's even more complicated. You have to create a personalized installation CD (add a comment if it's the case i'll show you how)
