If my coumputer is coming up saying the operating system is not found but i just put in a hard drive?
Answers:
Hard drives don't automatically come with an OS on them. If you've just installed a new HD, you need to copy all your files and data from your old HD, and you may need to reinstall Windows to get it to work properly on the new HD.
Did you leave the drive with the operating system in and added a blank drive so you have two hard drives installed, right? come back
The hard drive doesn't have an operating system on it... most computers will allow you to have two hard drives installed (my desktop (albeit deader than a doornail) has two slots for hard drives). Install your old hard drive, then the new one. You'll have the space that was on your old one (with an OS) and a brand new one, and you won't have to do the slow and laborious task of transferring all of your files. If you can only have one drive installed, just pop the new drive in and buy an (expensive) operating system. Vista is selling like hotcakes, but is expensive, so the "outdated" XP will be cheaper.
