My question would be "why would you want to"?. 1st: it's not worth the trouble. 2nd: that's the minimum requirements to run XP. XP & other programs that run on XP won't run well on that system.

If you are determined to upgrade this pc, you are going to have to either look up the processor & ram on the web for compatibility & sellers. Or you will need to look for it in your local inde computer stores which might have old parts laying around.

Save your $ & just buy a new pc. In the long run it will be cheaper & less frustrating. You can get a pretty good system for about $500 - $600, which after the system you've been on will do a good job for basic surfing, email, & office applications
Buy new components (probably a whole new computer).

You could also upgrade to Linux as that will run happily on those specs.

Time for a new computer...
change the CPU as well as the ram, However the specs that you are trying to upgrade to are still no good for windows XP it will run slower than a dog with three broken legs. what you are after upgrading to will run 98SE, windows ME quite happily and you could get away with windows 2000 at a push.
I would go nothing less than 800MHZ and 128 better 256 ram to run XP, but this would still be sluggish
DO NOT PUT XP ON THIS MACHINE YOU DUMB@$$!!!!
