Whats the major difference between dual core and core 2 duo with details?
Answers:
to put it simply, a dual core is a computer (any) with two processors fused together, normally in an ineffecient way consuming lots of power (ie a pentium d or late pentium 4's)
a core duo is the name intel have put on all of their new computers in favour of the pentium name as all of the new ones have 2 cores. the core duo is different to a generic dual core as intel have optimised it to be faster but using less power. the core 2 duo is simply the second generation version of the core duo and has yet more optimisations for speed and effeciency
amount of work per cycle/power consumption/architecture.
core2duo @ 1.6ghz will outwork and outperform a pentium dual core @ 3ghz on almost all applications today.
core2duo uses much higher fsb then dual core
