branded pc's dont give u that much of customising opportunities.. i had bought a compaq presario high end desktop but m not quite satisfied.. but if u change ur mind then an assembled pc is the best option.. if u do think of it then here are some gr8 tips to make a gaming pc-
- get a dual core processor 2.0 ghz+
- get a 945 chipset motherboard
- a 1/2/4 gb ram is a must for gaming
- include a pci express graphics card( preferably 512mb+)
- try to get hold of a 160/240or 750gb harddrive
- a good 5.1 channel speaker system will be a boon
- a 17"+ lcd screen wud be an add-on
.. if u have all of this, thn nothin can stop you from gaming!!
Hi ... Simple Answer.. If you think BRANDED PC's give you more of control... You are another person in who is caught by BRAND Wars.. ;)
Well HP / HCL / DELL put in lot's of softwares patches that ultimately ends your PC in a slow running state.
Some of them like I've seen in HCL, they put Hardware restrictions like.. you won't be able to install the OS like WinXP on a machine that comes installed with Win2000.
I NOW own a mast PC with
-> Intel P4 2.8 Ghz
-> nVidia 7600GT Card
-> 512 MB of RAM
-> 200 GB HDD
I can play almost all the games.. Except for the new comers like Spider-man 3 (it runs but with glitches). All I need is 1 GB of RAM that's all.
And at today's date you can get a gaming PC in 40K believe me if you ask for a NON-BRANDED one.
