Anyone know how to upgrade an imac g3?
is there a way that i can get the cd driver fixed, like send it to apple or something?
i'm running an os9 can i upgrade that to a better one?
and my imac is running slow, how do i delete programs that i dont need, (unlike windows i cant find a way to remove programs) also the internet isn't that good (IE) some of the websites wont even open or takes a really long time to load.
if you can give me links, i can download it to a zip file, or to my usb and put it in my imac. hope someone can help, thank you in advance.

well you can send it to apple an they will do the repairs for you, but you cannot run OSX on that computer. I used to have the same one and I tried to install it but it won't work. as for running slow, you can just put files in the trash can and then hit "empty trash" and that will clear your hard drive up, but it won't help the speed that much. for that you need RAM, and thay don't make RAM for those computers any more.
Email apple and ask them if it is a propietary CD drive or is it a standard 5.25" IDE driver. If it is the first one then you will need to take it to either an apple repair shop (If you happen to live in manchester there is one just off oxford road :D), or send it back to apple.
You could let Apple repair/replace it but they'd probably charge more. Can your model iMac use an external CD ROM? Probably cheaper than paying someone to repair/replace the original.
You can probably upgrade to atleast 10.3.x Tiger, you will need to purchase upgrade disks and possibly the firmware of the iMac.
Drag and drop to Trash? IDK anything about working with OS 9.
