I have a display problem.. Every time i put the computer on the graphics are messed up. I need help?

The only way i solve it was compaq system recovery but every time i shut down and start again the problems start again. I have updated my display driver and reinstalled it. Please help!!!!!! I already changed my refresh rate and my acceleration. Please help!!!
I have compaq computer window xp. I have intel extreme graphics.

ok it sounds like you need to update your graphics card. or atleast get it checked out. I dont suggest doing this yourself though. You can upgrade your graphics card by searching the net. go into google and search graphic card updates for intel extreme graphics. that should fix your problem
