Need Help knowing what memory i need for my computer?
System Manufacturer-- SiS
System Model--730S
i have around 300 mb ram memory so i want to upgrade it..when i go to a site to see what memory i need, it says select manufacturer..there is no sis...what do i do.dose SiS stand for something..please help
just to tell you, i know kinda what the memory looks like
there is a big row, then a break, a medium row, break, then a small row,

Go to crucial.com and let it scan your system. They will tell you what you have, what kind, and suggest how much you can get.

SIS is the name of your chipset, the chips that interface the processor to the motherboard. What you need is the name of the motherboard. The motherboard name should be between the PCI slots on a ATX motherboard. Find your processor, move down to a series of slots that are parallel (in the same direction) with the bottom of the case. The motherboard name should be between the slots. If not, it should be immediately to the right of the processor. The memory slots and chips are to the right of the processor and run parallel with the back of the case. Hint: the memory chips are held in with latches on each end, not screws.
