Which is better Intel Celeron or Intel pentium?

Answers:
Intel Pentium, Celeron are very cheap.
Pentium. The Celerons are the bargain chips that use older architecture and are therefore slower.
Intel Pentium, of course.

pentium, do not get celeron, their cheaper but only because their crap. Get an intel pentium D too, preferbaly anything above the Pentium D 915
i support PENTIUM, cos it got faster upgrading kit & easier to DIY ^_^
either of them aren't good, you should now be getting at least 64bit of even dual/triple/quad core now
Pentium definitely faster and lot better
Celeron is the low end in modern processors. Pentium beats it in most cases as far as performance is concerned. But this story is outdated as well, with the launch of Dual Core processors, even the Pentium series look small.
A 1.6 GHz Core 2 Duo performs as good as a 3 GHz P4. Imagine the capability of 3 GHz Core Duo Extreme. Celeron is completely out of the picture. Many people prefer AMD over celeron if they are keen in cutting down costs. I feel that celerons era is over.
